If you’re in the mood for a day trip from Athens, you can visit the island’s harbor and explore the many boutique hotels and yachts. There are also two history museums on the island, and the town of Chrisso is filled with quaint cobblestone streets and quaint cafes. Getting there is relatively easy, and it’s far easier to plan a day trip than an overnight stay.
This island is home to many Athenians who own second homes there. You can reach the island via a ferry service that runs from Perama and Piraeus every fifteen minutes.
Monastiriou
