The sand and sand-pebbles create a unique beachfront palette, while the surrounding mountains offer a magnificent backdrop. It is also one of the most organized beaches on Karpathos with umbrellas, sunbeds and traditional taverns.
Several boat trips depart from Pigadia and make a stop here, as they sail along the coast of Alonnisos to its most unspoiled and wild islets (Gioura, Peristera, etc.).
